The Happy Childhood Foundation was born from a deeply personal conviction, that every child deserves the chance to grow up fully, joyfully, and without limits.
What began as a family's response to a life-changing experience became a commitment to every child in need and their family navigating the same road.
Our goal has never changed: to create environments filled with affection, respect, and expertise, where every child's personality, talents, and potential are honored, and where every step forward is celebrated.
We work alongside families, specialists and partners to give every child what childhood can’t exist without: health, education, protection, play and their basic needs.
Since 2012, our rehabilitation centers at Hôtel-Dieu de France and Cortbawi Hospital have cared for hundreds of children, whatever their circumstances. Today, our teams deliver more than 40,000 therapy sessions a year.

Our Rehabilitation Initiative
In 2012, we opened our first rehabilitation center, the Laetitia Hatem Rehabilitation Center, at Hôtel-Dieu de France Hospital in Beirut. Since then, hundreds of children living with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, cerebral palsy, muscle and bone conditions or orthopedic trauma have found care here, whatever their family’s circumstances. In 2024, we opened a second center at Cortbawi Hospital, again with Hôtel-Dieu de France. We deliver more than 40,000 therapy sessions a year, across six therapies under one roof.
